Ciau!
I’m back from hintertux, where I participated in FIS camp selection with other guys from all over the world (or europe), also my teammate and friend Ieva joined me. She came all the way from Egypt, where she had her vacations. It was long long way for her and hard one. I came here with my other teammates, who had trainings in Hintertux, but they lived in other hotel.
Ieva and I lived in room with Latvian girls. I knew both of them, so we get along well.
1st day: we arived after that we had dinner and then meeting with coaches. I was really intrigued, because i knew there will be other coach than from last year. Everything went well like for first day.
2nd day: I slept well, but it was so hard to wake up. I never get up so early in summer… hard thing ;//
Then we went to breakfast and bla bla bla and etc. After all lifting up, all people came on top and we were supposed to have gate training, but it was foggy, foggy, foggy!! we had maybe one gate run and then few free runs and then we got down
At 4 o’clock dryland training.. actually before training I thought it would be easier for me. But day by day I went into the rythm ;}
3rd day: When I woke up in the morning I saw the same weather again, including the fact that it was worse. After we came up one a hill. We had 2 free runs, one gate run and the it started to rain, after some runs icy rain started. But still we had some runs to do. When Ieva and I got down home, we were thinking just about hot shower!!! Dryland training was just ideal for such a day. But also we had tests. 30m, 300m running.
4th day: In the morning, I just looked out of the window and i saw amazing view and sun, so I immediatly smiled and believed that it will be a good day. We had GS course and some free runs and it felt ok. Then in dryland training we ran again, then we did exercises and later there was tests again. It was jumps. We did one jump, then five in row. After all day I started to feel ma legs.. you know what I mean : DD And it was just third day : ) I was quite tired, so when I closed my eyes i fall asleep on same moment. P.S. I forgot to tell that we met Nicola with Girls (Nino, Anna, Liene) and it was so nice to see them again : DDD
5th day: ‘Slalom baby, slalom.’ This was my first thought in morning. But when Ieva and I lifted on hill and skied, I suddenly felt that it wasn’t the day for slalom.. but what i can change.. nothing.. so I skied some crappy slalom. ‘ Ah.. whatever’ I thought. ‘ Tommorow.. one more day for slalom’. We headed back to hotel and again at four o’clock everyone had run and training and one more test. That day, It was jumping on box : ) Sounds nice?.. believe me.. it don’t : DDD
6th day: I woke up in the morning and I almost felt like P. Diddy.. I hoped that on hill everything will be perfect, but i also expected for the hardest training of all week. And it was so. But nothing to worry about, cause that week Ieva and I found a superwomen’s gene in our bodies : DDD Anyway, it was quite cool training. After all the things on mountain, we had our last dryland training. We had no tests, just some exersices and football or volleyball. i had fun until some girl kicked in my leg. (of course not on purpose and I don’t blame her, but it still hurts ; // ) . In evening we had small and nice kind of party.. you know what I mean ; ))
So after my long descriptions of the days I want to thank for coaches, for my roommates Katrina and Beate, for Ieva and for all guys and girls, who made this week wonderful expierence. I’ll miss you, guys!! hope to meet you soon again : P.
And also during this camp, it was FIFA World cup 2010 and what I could say I’m soo happy that Spain won. And i’m so exited, cause i was for them from very very begining : )) Congrats, TEAM SPAIN!!!! <3<3<3<3
Ieva
P.S. I forgot to tell about those funny numbers they gave us. They was like from ’80s and I looked stupid in it. But anyway, we had to wear them : DDDD
I hope to put some pics later
